Rockford, IL (December 04, 2024) – Emergency responders from Rockford Fire Department were called to a house fire on the west side of Rockford Tuesday night. The fire broke out at approximately 8:10 p.m. in the 700 block of Acorn St. Upon arrival, firefighters encountered heavy smoke billowing from the second-story windows on all sides of the building, with flames visible from the first-floor apartment windows at the rear of the structure.
