Rock Hill, SC (November 18, 2024) – A 62-year-old woman lost her life Sunday night after being struck by an SUV on Herlong Avenue in Rock Hill.
The crash occurred at approximately 7:45 p.m., according to the Rock Hill Police Department. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and pronounced the woman dead. Her identity has not yet been released pending notification of next of kin.
Preliminary findings from the Rock Hill Police Department’s Serious Traffic Accident Reconstruction Team indicate that the woman walked into the path of a southbound Mercedes SUV. The driver of the SUV remained on the scene and is cooperating with the investigation.
