Rochester, NY (February 27, 2025) – An 11-year-old boy driving a stolen vehicle struck a woman at the intersection of Flint St and Jefferson Ave on Wednesday night, according to Rochester police.
The crash occurred at approximately 8:20 p.m. when the boy, a city resident, drove through the intersection and hit a 34-year-old Rochester woman. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and transported the injured woman to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities confirmed that her injuries were not life-threatening.
Witnesses at the scene informed police that the boy was the driver of the vehicle. Officers later determined that the car had been reported stolen from Henrietta. Due to the boy’s age, he could not be formally charged with a crime. Instead, he was released to his parents and referred to the Monroe County Family Support Center for further intervention.
An investigation into the incident remains ongoing. Our thoughts are with the injured woman, and we hope for her full recovery.
