Riverhead, NY (October 14, 2024) – A tragic accident occurred Saturday night in Riverhead, resulting in the death of a pedestrian and injuries to another individual. Just before midnight, a vehicle owned by Riverhead Town Taxi was traveling east on County Road 58 when it struck a pedestrian.
The pedestrian, identified as 58-year-old Jamie Martin Santos, was rushed to a local hospital but sadly was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. Additionally, a passenger from the taxi was also taken to the hospital, where their injuries were reported to be non-life-threatening.
