Rensselaer, NY (October 26, 2024) – A tragic car crash occurred on Friday morning, October 25, at approximately 7:12 a.m. at the intersection of Broadway and Tracy Street, resulting in the death of one individual. Rensselaer Police reported that the incident involved a vehicle crashing into a parked car.
Upon arrival, officers found that one of the drivers was experiencing cardiac arrest at the scene. Emergency medical personnel initiated life-saving efforts before transporting the driver to Albany Medical Center. Unfortunately, the driver was later pronounced dead at the hospital. The identity of the deceased has not yet been released.
As a result of the accident, Broadway was closed from Tracy Street to Washington Avenue for a period while authorities assessed the situation and conducted their investigation.
