Reeds Spring, MO (December 18, 2024) – A serious two-vehicle collision occurred on Highway 76 at the intersection with Highway Y, approximately two miles west of Reeds Spring. The crash resulted in significant damage and left two people injured.
The accident took place at around 12:40 PM in Stone County. Reports indicate that a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee, traveling westbound, veered into the eastbound lane, directly into the path of an oncoming 2021 Buick Encore. Both vehicles collided head-on, causing extensive damage.
The occupants of both vehicles sustained injuries. A 34-year-old male passenger in the Jeep Grand Cherokee from Galena, MO, suffered injuries and was transported by a private vehicle to Cox Health in Branson for treatment. The Buick Encore had two occupants, including a 79-year-old female from Cape Fair, MO, who sustained moderate injuries and was transported to Mercy in Springfield by ambulance.
Both vehicles were totaled in the crash and were removed from the scene by Chris’s Towing. Authorities are investigating the circumstances that led to the westbound vehicle crossing into oncoming traffic.
