Queensbury, NY (October 3, 2024) – A serious traffic accident occurred on Wednesday morning, resulting in the hospitalization of one driver. The incident took place around 6:48 AM on State Route 9 near Exit 20 on the Northway, prompting a response from the Warren County Sheriff’s Office.
According to the investigation, a Ford F-150 pickup truck was traveling north on Route 9 when the driver allegedly ran a red light at the Exit 20 intersection at a high rate of speed. This reckless action led to a collision with a dump truck that was exiting I-87.
The driver of the Ford F-150 sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported by helicopter to Albany Medical Center after receiving initial medical attention at the scene.
