Punta Gorda, FL (January 31, 2025) – A serious two-vehicle head-on collision on Burnt Store Road near Vincent Avenue left two people injured late Thursday night.
Emergency responders from Cape Coral Fire, Lee County EMS, and Charlotte County Fire & EMS arrived at the scene around 9:50 p.m. to assist the victims. According to emergency radio communications, a 35-year-old female sustained critical injuries and was designated as a “Trauma Alert” before being transported by EMS to Cape Coral Hospital for emergency treatment. Another individual involved in the crash suffered minor injuries.
Due to the severity of the collision, Burnt Store Road was completely shut down as officials worked to clear the scene and provide medical aid. Authorities have requested the Florida Highway Patrol to conduct an investigation into the circumstances of the crash.
