Pulaski, MO (January 16, 2025) – A three-vehicle collision occurred on Wednesday afternoon at the intersection of Highway 17 and River Drive, leading to multiple injuries and vehicle damage. The crash, which was reported at approximately 3:24 PM, involved a 2001 Toyota Camry, a 2004 Ford F-150, and a 2015 Ford Escape.

According to reports, the accident unfolded when the Ford F-150, driven by a 17-year-old male juvenile from Waynesville, was stopped to make a left-hand turn. The Ford Escape, driven by a 50-year-old woman from Waynesville, collided with the rear of the F-150. The impact caused the Toyota Camry, driven by an 83-year-old woman from Waynesville, to collide with the rear of the Ford Escape.

The Camry and F-150 sustained moderate damage and were towed from the scene by TC Towing, while the Ford Escape was able to be driven away. Emergency responders from the Pulaski County Ambulance District arrived at the scene to provide assistance to the injured.

Two individuals sustained injuries. The 83-year-old driver of the Camry and a 63-year-old passenger from Crocker, MO, were both transported by ambulance to Phelps Health in Rolla for further evaluation and treatment.

The collision is under investigation by MSGT B.C. Rowden of the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Our thoughts are with those affected by this accident, and we wish them a swift recovery.

Multi-Vehicle Collisions in Missouri

Multi-vehicle collisions are common at intersections and areas with heavy traffic flow, such as Highway 17 in Pulaski. These accidents often occur when vehicles are unable to stop in time, leading to chain reactions that involve multiple cars. Contributing factors include following too closely, distracted driving, and sudden stops.

According to recent data, Missouri has seen a rise in multi-vehicle collisions, particularly in areas with frequent left-hand turn lanes and high-speed traffic. Such crashes often result in injuries to drivers and passengers, as well as significant property damage.

For those involved in multi-vehicle accidents, it is essential to gather evidence from the scene, such as photographs and witness statements, and seek medical attention for all injuries, no matter how minor they may seem initially. Additionally, working with professionals can help ensure fair resolution of insurance claims and other post-accident challenges.
