Pulaski, MO (September 19, 2024) – A 43-year-old female pedestrian was injured when a vehicle struck her on Wednesday afternoon. The incident occurred around 1:04 PM on Historic RTE 66 in Waynesville.

Robin D. Pirtle, 79, of St. Robert, MO, was driving a 2019 Dodge Caravan westbound. While attempting to park, his foot slipped off the brake pedal. The vehicle went over the curb and sidewalk, hitting pedestrian Chandel L. Chavez of Springfield, MO.

Chavez sustained injuries and was transported by Pulaski County Ambulance to Mercy Hospital in Lebanon, MO. Pirtle was uninjured and drove his vehicle from the scene.

Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the crash and are expected to provide updates as more information becomes available.
