Pulaski, MO (November 5, 2024) – A serious vehicle collision occurred on November 4, 2024, at approximately 8:55 p.m. on westbound Interstate 44, specifically at mile marker 145. The incident involved two vehicles and resulted in injuries to one of the drivers.
Preliminary reports indicate that a 2012 Peterbilt truck, driven by a 60-year-old male from Chihuahua, Mexico, was stopped in traffic when a 2022 Volvo, driven by a 29-year-old male from Bakersfield, CA, attempted to avoid the stopped traffic by passing on the right shoulder. Unfortunately, the Volvo slid into the side of the Peterbilt, leading to significant damage to both vehicles. The Peterbilt sustained moderate damage, while the Volvo was declared a total loss and was towed by Jacks Towing.
