Prospect, PA (February 17, 2025) – Emergency crews responded to a motor vehicle accident with reported injuries on Interstate 79 southbound, just before the Prospect exit, on Sunday afternoon.
According to reports, the crash occurred at approximately 4:14 p.m., prompting emergency units from Stations 24, 13, and 52 to arrive at the scene. Upon arrival, responders determined that the accident had taken place at mile marker 97.2 southbound.
First responders, including paramedics and fire crews, worked to assist those involved in the crash. However, at least one individual refused medical treatment at the scene. Emergency personnel remained at the location to ensure safety before clearing the scene around 4:40 p.m.
Authorities have not released further details regarding the cause of the accident. An investigation is underway to determine what led to the crash.
