Prague, OK (November 18, 2024) – Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) responded to a multiple-fatality crash on US-62 near Prague on Saturday evening. The incident occurred when 48-year-old Norman Pyatt, driving eastbound on US-62, left the roadway for reasons still under investigation. His vehicle then crossed the center line and collided head-on with a westbound car driven by 38-year-old Lacey Collins.
Emergency responders pronounced Pyatt dead at the scene. Collins, who sustained serious injuries in the crash, was transported to a nearby hospital but was later pronounced dead from her injuries. The investigation into the exact cause of the crash, including the condition of both drivers at the time of the accident, is ongoing.
