Potomac, MD (February 9, 2025) – Emergency crews responded to a serious collision with entrapment on Saturday evening in the 12800 block of River Road near Dalyn Dr. in Potomac.
Montgomery County Fire and Rescue Services (MCFRS) units, including PE733, A733, T710, RS703, and EMS705, were dispatched to the scene at approximately 5:04 p.m. Upon arrival, first responders found at least one individual trapped inside a vehicle. Rescue crews worked swiftly to extricate the trapped occupant while paramedics provided immediate medical assistance.
The injured individuals were transported to nearby medical facilities for further evaluation and treatment. The number of people involved and the severity of their injuries have not yet been disclosed.
Authorities temporarily closed the area around River Road and Dalyn Dr. to manage the scene and conduct an investigation into the cause of the crash. The road was reopened once the vehicles were removed and the scene was cleared.
