Portage, MI (February 19, 2025) – Authorities in Portage are searching for a hit-and-run driver after a bicyclist was struck and injured Monday night near Lovers Ln and Stryker Way. According to the Portage Department of Public Safety (PDPS), the crash occurred shortly before 10:45 p.m.
The victim, a 47-year-old Portage man, was traveling south when a vehicle hit him and fled the scene. Emergency responders arrived and provided medical care before transporting him to the hospital, where he is now in stable condition.
PDPS is actively looking for a black 2016-2024 Mazda CX5 or CX9 in connection with the incident. Authorities urge anyone with information about the suspect to come forward.
