Polk, MO – Rear-End Collision on MO 13 Near Brighton Results in Injuries

Polk, MO (September 14, 2024) – Two drivers sustained moderate injuries in a rear-end crash Friday night on MO 13, two miles south of Brighton.

At approximately 9:15 p.m., Chance Hampton, 20, driving a 2004 Chevrolet Malibu, struck the rear of a slowing 1991 Cadillac Eldorado, driven by Daniel Wenstrom, 59. Both vehicles were totaled and towed from the scene. Hampton, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was transported to Citizens Memorial Hospital in Bolivar. Wenstrom was taken to Mercy Hospital in Springfield. The investigation is ongoing.
