Pleasant Hill, CA (January 28, 2025) – A traffic collision involving two vehicles claimed the life of one driver and left another with minor injuries Monday morning at the intersection of Taylor Boulevard and Grayson Road. The crash was reported around 9:42 a.m., according to the Pleasant Hill Police Department (PHPD).
The incident involved a black Kia sedan and a gray Kia minivan. One of the vehicles was found overturned, though police did not specify which one. Emergency responders arrived at the scene to assist the injured parties.
The driver of the Kia minivan suffered major injuries and was transported to a hospital, where they later succumbed to their injuries. The driver of the black sedan sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene. The identities of those involved have not been released, pending notification of next of kin.
The roadway was temporarily closed to traffic for several hours as authorities conducted their investigation and cleared the scene. It was reopened to normal traffic flow by 1:25 p.m.
