Intersection Accidents in Connecticut
Intersections are among the most hazardous locations on the road, often leading to severe crashes due to right-of-way violations, distracted driving, and failure to obey traffic signals. In Connecticut, these types of collisions contribute significantly to overall traffic injuries, as drivers frequently misjudge the speed or intentions of other vehicles at crossings.
Right-of-way violations, as seen in this Plainfield accident, are one of the primary causes of intersection crashes. Many of these incidents could be prevented through improved awareness, defensive driving techniques, and adherence to traffic laws. Additionally, infrastructure improvements such as better lighting and clearer signage may enhance intersection safety.
