Pinson, AL (February 21, 2025) – A 75-year-old Birmingham woman lost her life in a two-vehicle crash on Monday, February 19, according to the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.
Officials identified the victim as Rita Faye Edwards. The accident occurred on Alabama Highway 151 at Pinson Boulevard.
Emergency responders transported Edwards to UAB Hospital, where she later succumbed to her injuries. Authorities confirmed that she was the sole occupant of her vehicle at the time of the crash.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the accident to determine its cause. No further details have been released.
