Pike County, MO (January 10, 2025) – A serious two-vehicle collision resulting in injuries occurred on Highway 161 north of Pike 342 early on January 10, 2025. The crash was reported at approximately 5:15 AM and involved a 2003 Toyota Sienna and a 2020 Ford F-350.
According to the investigation conducted by Corporal G.C. Leach, the accident occurred on a snow-covered roadway when the driver of the Toyota Sienna, a 43-year-old male from Troy, MO, lost control of the vehicle while passing another southbound car. The northbound Ford F-350, driven by a 27-year-old male from Bowling Green, MO, was unable to stop in time and collided with the rear passenger side of the Toyota.
The Toyota Sienna sustained total damage and was towed from the scene by Heartland Towing. Its driver suffered moderate injuries and was transported by Pike County Memorial Ambulance to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis for treatment. The Ford F-350 also sustained extensive damage and was towed by Heartland Towing. The driver of the Ford was not reported to have any injuries.
