Piedmont, MO (September 8, 2024) – A head-on collision occurred on Saturday, September 7, on County Road 347B north of Hwy CC, involving two vehicles. Stanley Melton, 59, suffered injuries and was transported to Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. His 2010 Polaris Ranger collided with a southbound 2008 Toyota Tundra, driven by Tara L. Gentles, who was unharmed.

Trooper Barnett of Troop E reported that safety devices were not used by Melton at the time of the accident. Further investigation into the crash is ongoing, with more updates expected as they become available.
