Single-Vehicle Accidents and Seatbelt Safety in Arizona
Single-vehicle crashes are common in Arizona, often resulting from speeding, driver distraction, or loss of vehicle control. High-speed collisions, especially those involving fixed objects like utility poles, frequently lead to severe or fatal injuries.
In this case, authorities believe that excessive speed and the lack of a seatbelt were contributing factors. Studies consistently show that seatbelt use significantly reduces the risk of fatal injuries in crashes. Arizona law requires all front-seat occupants to wear seatbelts, and failing to do so can have life-threatening consequences.
