Phelps, MO – One Seriously Injured in Rear-End Accident on US Hwy 63

Phelps, MO (September 11, 2024) – A serious accident on US Hwy 63, seven miles south of Rolla, left one person injured. The crash occurred at 9:00 a.m. when a 2015 Chrysler Town & Country, driven by Janine Merdian, 54. Struck the rear of a 2021 Ram 5500 driven by Travis Kuhn, 46, who was stopped to make a turn.

Merdian sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to University Hospital in Columbia. Kuhn was not reported injured and was able to drive from the scene.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident, with further details expected as the inquiry progresses.
