Perryopolis, PA (February 9, 2025) – Multiple people were injured after a vehicle crashed into a gas pump at the BP Gas Station on the 3340 block of Pittsburgh St (Route 51) in Perryopolis on Saturday afternoon.
According to Fayette County dispatchers, emergency crews were called to the scene at approximately 4:19 p.m. Perry Township Deputy Fire Chief Wayne Nichols reported that a vehicle traveling on Route 51 veered off the roadway, striking a parked car before colliding with a gas pump. The impact ripped the pump from the ground, causing it to sustain damage from ensuing flames.
First responders, including Perryopolis Fire Department crews and local EMS, quickly arrived at the scene to extinguish the flames and assist those injured. Four individuals were transported to a nearby hospital for further evaluation and treatment. The extent of their injuries has not yet been released.
