Perry County, AL (September 22, 2024) – A tragic two-car accident occurred in Perry County on Friday evening, resulting in one fatality and one injury. The collision took place around 5:20 p.m. on Alabama State Route 219, approximately 15 miles north of Selma.
According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the crash involved a head-on collision between two vehicles. Deborah S. Browder, a 69-year-old resident of Valley Grande, was thrown from her car due to not wearing a seatbelt and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the other vehicle, identified as 58-year-old Donna M. McDaniel from Vance, sustained injuries and was airlifted to DCH Regional Medical Center in Tuscaloosa for treatment.
