Peoria, IL (December 16, 2024) – A multi-car collision on Interstate 155 near mile marker 21 resulted in one person being hospitalized Saturday afternoon. The crash occurred just after noon near the village of Hopedale, according to the Illinois State Police.
Authorities report that a northbound vehicle on I-155 lost control for unknown reasons and veered into the southbound lane. The out-of-control car collided with two southbound vehicles, causing a significant crash. Additionally, debris from the wreck struck two other vehicles, resulting in further damage.
One individual sustained injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment. The condition of the injured person and the severity of their injuries have not yet been disclosed.
