Penn Township, PA (February 19, 2025) – Emergency responders were dispatched Tuesday evening to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Pittsburgh Rd and Brownsdale Rd in Penn Township, initially reported as a crash with entrapment.
Authorities received the call at approximately 4:54 p.m., and multiple stations, including 11, 16, and 99, responded to the scene. By 4:57 p.m., police confirmed that there was no entrapment, but at 4:59 p.m., officers advised that one patient required EMS attention.
Rescue units, including RQ-16, RQ-11, and 99-4, arrived at the scene to provide assistance. At 5:44 p.m., Station 16 was placed back in service, and the incident was officially terminated at 5:47 p.m. EMS personnel from unit 99-4 transported one injured patient to Allegheny General Hospital (AGH) for treatment.
Authorities have not yet released details on the cause of the crash or the extent of the injuries sustained.
