Paulding, OH (January 26, 2025) – A tragic collision occurred on US 24 in Paulding County, claiming the lives of four individuals on Saturday. The Ohio State Highway Patrol (OSHP) reported that the crash involved a semi-truck and a Honda Pilot.
According to OSHP, the semi-truck veered off the left side of the roadway, crossed the median, and collided head-on with the Honda Pilot. Both vehicles came to rest on the north side of the road. The driver of the Pilot, 35-year-old Amin Humaidi, along with passengers 40-year-old Nadia Humaidi, 21-year-old Rajaa Humaidi, and 3-year-old Asmaa Humaidi, tragically lost their lives at the scene.
Another passenger in the Pilot, 14-year-old Hamzah Humaidi, sustained injuries and was airlifted by Life Flight to a local hospital for treatment. The driver of the semi-truck, Gary Woods, also sustained injuries and was transported to a hospital for care. The crash remains under investigation as authorities work to determine the contributing factors.
