Palmyra, NY (October 23, 2024) – A tragic motorcycle accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon, resulting in the death of a 62-year-old motorcyclist. The incident took place just before 5 p.m. on Jeffrey Road near State Route 21, where a Chevy truck was making a left turn and collided with the motorcycle, which was cresting a hill at the time.
The motorcyclist, identified as Jeffery Wamsley of Palmyra, was pronounced dead at the scene. Emergency responders arrived promptly, but unfortunately, there was nothing that could be done to save him. The driver of the truck was unharmed in the incident.
New York State Police are currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash to determine the factors that contributed to this unfortunate event.
