Palm Beach Gardens, FL (November 27, 2024) – A 14-year-old boy has tragically passed away five days after a collision involving his dirt bike and a Toyota Tacoma at the intersection of Hood Rd and Eastpointe Blvd, according to the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO).
The incident occurred on November 20, 2024, around 5:30 PM. The teen was riding an unregistered dirt bike westbound on Hood Rd when he entered the intersection at Eastpointe Blvd. Simultaneously, a Toyota Tacoma traveling eastbound on Hood Rd attempted a left turn onto Eastpointe Blvd. The vehicle turned into the path of the dirt bike, leading to a collision.
The driver of the Toyota immediately braked and remained at the scene to assist with the investigation. Emergency responders transported the critically injured teen to Saint Mary’s Medical Center, where he succumbed to his injuries five days later.
