Palm Beach County, FL (December 29, 2024) – A tragic pedestrian crash claimed the lives of two individuals on Friday evening at the intersection of Fairgreen Rd and Drexel Rd. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office (PBSO) reported the incident occurred around 7:00 PM.
Authorities identified the victims as Terry Moore, 73, and Michael Moore, 71, who were crossing Drexel Rd on the south side of the intersection while walking eastbound on Fairgreen Rd. According to the PBSO, a 77-year-old male driver was traveling southbound on Drexel Rd when he moved into the northbound lanes to pass vehicles slowing down at the intersection. The vehicle then entered the intersection and struck the Moores.
Emergency responders arrived promptly, but both pedestrians were pronounced dead shortly after the crash. The driver was not injured in the incident.
