Oxon Hill, MD (January 29, 2025) – A townhouse fire in Oxon Hill claimed the life of a woman on Tuesday evening, according to Prince George’s County Fire and EMS officials.
Firefighters were dispatched to the scene on Brandyhall Court at approximately 6:54 p.m., where they found a three-story, middle-of-the-row townhouse with heavy flames visible from the second floor. Crews worked quickly to contain the fire and prevent it from spreading to neighboring units.
Despite their efforts, one occupant sustained critical injuries and was later pronounced deceased. Officials have not yet released the victim’s identity.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation as authorities work to determine what led to the deadly blaze.
