Pedestrian Accidents in California
California is among the states with the highest number of pedestrian accidents, particularly in urban areas like Oxnard. Intersections such as Gonzales Rd and Rose Ave often see increased risk for pedestrians due to heavy traffic and driver inattentiveness.
The California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) reports that leading causes of pedestrian accidents include speeding, failure to yield, and poor visibility. These incidents frequently result in severe or fatal injuries due to the lack of protection pedestrians have in collisions with motor vehicles.
