Orlando, FL (September 4, 2024) – A Florida Highway Patrol investigation is underway following a crash involving an Orlando police cruiser Tuesday night, September 3, near John Young Pkwy and Old Winter Garden Rd. The officer, responding to an emergency call with lights and sirens activated, attempted a left turn at a red light and collided with an oncoming vehicle.

The officer sustained minor injuries and was taken to Orlando Regional Medical Center for treatment. The other driver was also injured but declined medical assistance.
