Oregon, MO (November 15, 2024) – A collision occurred at approximately 12:50 PM on Highway 142, two miles west of Thayer, involving a 2021 RAM 1500 and a 2017 Ford F150. The incident occurred when the driver of the RAM 1500, a 59-year-old male from Wardell, MO, crossed the centerline and struck the oncoming Ford F150, which was being driven eastbound by a 73-year-old female from West Plains, MO.
Emergency responders from Oregon and Missouri Department of Transportation (MoDOT) were quick to the scene to assist. The 73-year-old female driver sustained moderate injuries and was transported by ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains for further treatment. The driver of the RAM 1500 was not injured. Both vehicles were towed from the scene by Legacy Towing as per the request of Trooper T.D. Pond of Troop G.
