Orange County, FL (September 5, 2024) – A bicyclist tragically died in a collision with a semitruck on Thursday, September 5, on Orange Ave near Prince St. The accident occurred shortly after 6 a.m. when the bicyclist attempted to cross Orange Ave outside a marked crosswalk and entered the path of the oncoming semitruck.

The semitruck’s front struck the bicyclist, resulting in fatal injuries. The driver, a 52-year-old man from Tarpon Springs, was not injured and stayed at the scene to cooperate with authorities.
