Omaha, NE – Two Seriously Injured, Motorcyclist Killed in Crash at I-80 and L St

Omaha, NE (September 1, 2024) – A motorcyclist was killed and two people were seriously injured in a crash on Saturday, August 31. The incident occurred after a Nebraska State Patrol trooper attempted a traffic stop on I-680 near Pacific St at about 8:15 p.m.

The motorcyclist fled, leading a pursuit that reached speeds over 110 mph on I-80. The motorcyclist exited and re-entered the highway multiple times before running a red light at 120th St, where he collided with a van heading west on L St. The van’s driver and passenger were transported to the hospital in serious condition. 

Authorities are investigating the circumstances of the crash and are expected to provide updates as more information becomes available.
