Omaha, NE (February 26, 2025) – A fatal crash occurred early Tuesday morning when a truck veered off the road and into a creek near 84th and Blondo Street, according to Omaha Police.
Authorities reported that the truck was traveling westbound on Blondo Street at approximately 12:33 a.m. when the driver lost control. The vehicle left the roadway, crossed the Keystone Trail, and crashed into the creek.
A person using the trail discovered the wreckage hours later and alerted emergency services. The driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. Investigators are looking into alcohol consumption and lack of seatbelt use as potential contributing factors to the crash.
