Omaha, NE (February 28, 2025) – Two people were hospitalized following an injury crash on Interstate 80 near 60th Street on Friday morning.
Emergency responders from Omaha Fire Department arrived at the scene shortly after the crash was reported at 10:13 a.m. One victim was found with a head wound but was awake and alert. A second ambulance was requested at 10:23 a.m. to transport another injured individual.
Medics transported a woman in her 30s to Bergan Mercy Medical Center under Code 3 Trauma due to pelvic, hip, and elbow injuries. A second female patient, also in her 30s, was taken to the hospital under Code 2 care. The extent of their injuries is still being assessed.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident. Drivers were advised to use caution while traveling through the area.
