According to police reports, Drake Moore was driving a 2004 Jeep Compass northbound when he failed to yield the right-of-way to an eastbound 2018 Volkswagen Atlas. The collision resulted in the Volkswagen striking the Jeep on the driver’s side, causing the Jeep to roll onto its top and come to rest in the westbound lanes.
Drake Moore was pronounced dead at the scene, while a 22-year-old female passenger in the Jeep was transported to a local hospital with serious injuries. Fortunately, the driver of the Volkswagen was not injured in the crash.
