Old Saybrook, CT (January 19, 2025) – A fire early Saturday morning on Spencer Plains Rd resulted in one person being transported to the hospital with injuries. Firefighters from the Old Saybrook Fire Department responded to the scene at approximately 6:00 a.m. and managed to contain the fire to the room where it originated.
Emergency responders worked swiftly to extinguish the flames and ensure the safety of nearby residents. The injured individual, a resident of the property, was treated on-site before being transported to a medical facility for further care. Their current condition has not been disclosed.
Westbrook and Clinton fire departments provided mutual aid to assist in managing the incident. The cause of the fire remains under investigation. Our thoughts are with the injured individual, and we wish them a full recovery.
