Old Saybrook, CT (September 3, 2024) – A boat accident Monday night in Old Saybrook resulted in one death, two missing, and several injuries. The incident occurred around 9:15 p.m. when a 31-foot motorboat struck a jetty at the mouth of the Connecticut River.
Nine people were on board. Rescue teams found the boat half-submerged and severely damaged. One man was found dead, while six others were hospitalized. The boat operator remains in critical condition, and two people are still missing.
