U-Turn Accidents in Washington State
U-turn crashes, like the one on SR 153 and SR 97, are a frequent occurrence on highways and busy intersections, often resulting in severe injuries. These accidents can arise from poor visibility, failure to yield, or misjudgment of traffic speed. State Route 97 is a well-traveled corridor in Washington, further amplifying the risks associated with sudden or poorly executed maneuvers.
In 2023, Washington reported numerous collisions involving U-turns and similar traffic maneuvers, many of which led to serious injuries. Drivers are advised to perform U-turns only in designated areas with clear visibility, ensuring ample space and time to complete the maneuver safely.
Victims of highway crashes frequently face medical challenges, financial burdens, and emotional stress. It is essential to seek both medical care and professional guidance to understand your rights and options for recovery.
