Ohatchee, AL (December 24, 2024) – A tragic three-car crash occurred on Alabama 77, approximately one mile south of Ohatchee, on Sunday night, resulting in the death of a Cullman man and serious injuries to multiple others.
The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) reported that Caleb Falls, 28, was driving a Nissan Sentra when a Ford Mustang collided with his vehicle. The impact caused the Sentra to strike a Toyota Prius head-on. The crash occurred at approximately 8:25 p.m. Falls was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Ford Mustang and a 16-year-old passenger were transported to nearby medical facilities with injuries. The driver of the Toyota Prius sustained critical injuries and was airlifted to UAB Hospital for advanced medical care. The identities of the injured individuals have not been released at this time.
Troopers with the ALEA Highway Patrol Division are investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash. No further details about the cause of the collision have been disclosed.
