Norwich, CT (January 11, 2025) – A high-impact collision occurred on Interstate 395 North near exit 14 (Norwichtown exit) in Norwich early Saturday morning. Emergency crews from Yantic and East Great Plains Fire Departments responded to the scene at approximately 2:00 a.m.
Upon arrival, responders discovered two vehicles involved in the crash, both of which sustained significant damage. Two individuals were transported to William W. Backus Hospital by American Ambulance. One patient suffered a head injury, while the other sustained minor injuries. The collision temporarily closed all lanes of I-395 for about 45 minutes while crews worked to clear the scene.
