Norwich, CT (January 11, 2025) – A serious head-on collision involving a van and a pickup truck occurred on Plain Hill Rd in Norwich late Friday afternoon. Emergency responders from Yantic Fire Engine Company, American Ambulance, and Norwich Police were called to the scene around 5:45 p.m.
Upon arrival, first responders encountered heavy damage to both vehicles and provided immediate care to two injured individuals. Both victims were transported to William W. Backus Hospital by American Ambulance. One patient is reported to be in critical condition, while the other sustained serious injuries.
