School Bus Safety and Red-Light Violations in New York
Collisions involving school buses are particularly concerning due to the presence of young passengers. While school buses are among the safest vehicles on the road, accidents caused by reckless driving—such as running a red light—can put children at serious risk.
New York law strictly prohibits running red lights, as these violations often lead to severe crashes at intersections. Drivers are urged to remain vigilant, obey traffic signals, and exercise extra caution in areas where school buses are present.
If you or a loved one has been involved in a crash, seeking medical attention, documenting the incident, and consulting with professionals can help protect your rights.
