Norman, OK (January 27, 2025) – A devastating crash occurred early Saturday morning near I-35 and Flood Avenue in Norman, claiming the life of one individual and leaving two others critically injured.
According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP), the collision happened around 2:29 a.m. and involved a 2000 Nissan Maxima. Authorities have yet to determine the identity of the driver or the events that led to the crash.
Carlos Diaz, 18, was tragically pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders. Two passengers, 19-year-old Blakely Cornelius, and a 17-year-old juvenile, sustained critical injuries and were transported to nearby hospitals for treatment.
