Norfolk, VA (January 13, 2025) – A tragic crash claimed the lives of two individuals and left one person injured early Sunday morning in Norfolk. The incident occurred in the 300 block of East Little Creek Rd, near the I-64 overpass in the Oakdale Farms neighborhood.
Emergency responders were called to the scene around 3 a.m. and found that a vehicle had crashed, leaving the driver and two passengers with severe injuries. According to a police release, one of the passengers, identified as 32-year-old Dalila I. Villanueva Calderon of Norfolk, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver, 25-year-old Justino R. Balladares Diaz, also of Norfolk, was transported to a local hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. A second passenger, a 21-year-old woman, was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries but is expected to recover.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation, and no further details have been released at this time.
