Norco, CA (September 24, 2024) – A tragic accident occurred early Sunday morning, September 22, when a passenger in a vehicle was killed after a horse smashed through the windshield during a series of collisions on northbound Interstate 15. The incident unfolded around 2 a.m. and involved multiple vehicles, leading to devastating consequences.
According to the California Highway Patrol (CHP), the chain of events began when a Toyota Tacoma towing a horse trailer veered to the right and struck a guardrail. The impact caused the trailer to split open, resulting in the horse being thrown onto the freeway. Shortly after, a semitractor-trailer collided with the horse trailer.
